Moraga is a small town with lots to like.
We've lived in Moraga since 1978.
Why haven't we ever moved?
Where could we ever find another Moraga?
Here's what I like the most about
Moraga.
(1) small town, uncongested feeling, only
16,000+ residents
(2) the beautiful oak studded, rolling hills with roaming cattle:
green in
winter and golden brown in summer
(3) small town friendly feeling: it seems like you get to know almost everyone
(4) the weather: not too hot and not too cold...usually just right for me.
(If you need lots of heat, Moraga is not the place. The climate is influenced by
being just over the hills from the San Francisco Bay. Move further inland
if you really like hot weather. There are some days in the 90's in
Moraga during the summer but many more in the 70's and 80's. )

Some people think the 10-15 minutes to the freeway is too long. I think it's
just
right because it helps give Moraga the privacy and low crime rate that is
so desirable.
(6)
Highly rated schools help maintain property values. Our children
both went through the Moraga schools. I feel they got a very good
education.

Two lovely parks: Moraga Commons Park, and Rancho Laguna Park.
The Commons Park is outstanding. There's something for everyone from
the tot playground, to volleyball, the skateboard park, picnic
tables, barbecues, walking paths, bocce ball, and lots of grass and
trees. Rancho Laguna is on the other side of town and has many of
the same amenities except the skateboard park.

Moraga Country Club (swim, tennis and golf) We were members
there for about 15 years. I met lots of fun people there. The
facility is great and the staff always helpful.
(9)
Lafayette/Moraga Trail: very popular walking/jogging/bike trail
runs from Moraga through Lafayette

Of course, all the incredible, wonderful people I've met here over
the years!
Moragans are the BEST!
